Predictions: 6 of 11 Winners, 1 Perfect, 365 Points | Tied for 1978th
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Tbh I see this being one of the most underrated bangers still to come before the end of this year. Two prospects that are gonna be at the top of the division once these vets retire such as Poirier, Gaethje & Chandler whom are in the top 5. Although Gamrot has been dropped in most to all of his fights as of late, he seems to recover decently and get the fight to where it needs to be & in his favor most of the time. The question this time around is if he can handle the onslaught that Fiziev brings on w/ his crisp Muay Thai striking. It seems most believe Gamrot will crumble this time around but I have a suspicion that his grappling will be put on display even against someone who has TD defense as good as Fiziev. Now looking at his finish wins in the UFC, although they are in no way non-impressive, his finishing ability just doesn't shout to me the way I feel it does to many others. I believe Gamrot will wear him down w/ his 5 RD experience in the cage & w/ the gas tank Fiziev has & w/ knowing that grappling cardio is different from striking; I see Gamrot finding himself likely dropped within the first two rounds, only to recover in the second half of the fight & grind out a decision win w/ his wrestling being the star of the show as it always is.
Mitchell vs. Ige
Dan Ige, DEC
Honestly kind of a hard one to pick here stat wise. Ige's only lost to those who have been in the top of the division, really, and he has some underrated power that I think goes under the radar in a division full of killers. Although the stats say Bryce is technically more dangerous, I believe overall that Ige has that danger overall in both his hands & on the ground (although going to the ground in this case would not be recommended w/ how slick Bryce is there). I feel like Ige's advantage on the feet and Mitchell's lack there of will be the ultimate deciding factor for me in this case but both will hold their own enough to lead to a likely boring decision win unless Ige can connect some bombs like he has as of late.
Rodriguez vs. Waterson-Gomez II
Marina Rodriguez, DEC
Even though I can't stand many things about Rodriguez including the fact that she can't just have it pronounced commonly instead of "Hodriguez" and her having the typical Brazilian woman ugly cry after a boring ass win, her skills cannot be denied I must say. If it wasn't for the stoppage loss against Lemos, Marina would have been the one fighting for the belt instead even though I don't see a different outcome when it comes to a change of the title. Even though the last bout was years ago now & every fight is different, I don't see much of a difference in the outcome this time around as well & can only see Waterson-Gomez pulling this off by some Split-Decision. Only way I see this bout ending in a finish would be by Waterson-Gomez getting Guillotined in the second half of the fight; possibly even in the 2nd RD.
Means vs. Fialho
Andre Fialho, TKO, R1
Even though Fialho's chin ain't the best in the biz, his power cannot be denied. With all of his finish wins coming in the first half of his bouts & most coming within the 1st RD, a Fialho flat-line K.O. ain't the worst to bet on if you ask me. Even w/ Means statistically having most of his previous finishes on the feet being in the 1st RD, I see Means getting dropped & stopped or even possibly submitted by a choke (possibly by RNC or Guillotine).
Inoue vs. Goldy
Mizuki Inoue, SUB, R2
Easy win for Mizuki IMO. Only lost decisions to top fighters such as a current champ & recent title challenger. Either a late armbar submission win or an easy cruise to a decision win.
Jourdain vs. Ramos
Charles Jourdain, SUB, R2
Love me some Charles Jourdain fights. I see this going to a decision if both play it more so safe on the feet. But seeing as to how statistically Ramos likes to get to the ground quite a bit, I believe Jourdain's underrated grappling will shine & earn him a choke submission at some point in the later half of RD 2.
Collier vs. Usman
Mohammed Usman, TKO, R1
I see an easy RD 1 finish for Usman by whatever the hell he wants tbh. Both have had work on the gorund before but I believe no matter where the fight goes, Usman has the advantage.
Rendon vs. Vidal
Tamires Vidal, DEC
Highly boring UD
Johns vs. Argueta
Daniel Argueta, SUB, R3
Late RD 3 Rear Naked Choke sub for Argueta or possibly a decision.
Battle vs. Fletcher
Bryan Battle, SUB, R2
Tough one to decide tbh after looking at stats, but I see Battle having more of an impressing showing overall tbh & has an underrated ground game as does Fletcher.

Ramos has been in the ufc for 6 and a half years with 10 ufc fights. How is this too soon? If he isn't ready for Jourdain now, then he never will be.

Jacob Malkoun, DEC
I think Jacob Malkoun uses his wrestling skills to win a decision.
Collier vs. Usman
Mohammed Usman, TKO, R1
This should be a knockout win for Mohammed Usman.
Inoue vs. Goldy
Mizuki Inoue, DEC
I don't know why Dana White thought Hannah Goldy was going to be any good in the UFC.
